Kitty Stars of the Week for September 15 - 21, 2002.
This week, our first kitty star is OmaKitty who writes:
Hi, my name is OmaKitty and I'm a short-haired house kitty. My mom
says I'm a grey tabby with a little orange tomcat mixed in.
I live in Austin, Texas and I'm an only child. I was adopted from
the local SPCA Adoption Agency about 4 years ago. I'm 5 1/2 years
old now and have the coolest birthday. Since my mom didn't know the
exact date I was born, we decided to make my birthday the Friday
after Thanksgiving, mainly so I can have my favorite food in the
whole world, turkey and dressing, for my birthday. (But only a little.)
I have lots of favorite toys but I think my most prized possession is
my cross-dressing dog toy. I play with it all the time and carry it
around the house with me - even to bed! I will sleep anywhere, even
mom's guitar case. (See below.) I think the most interesting thing
about me is I convinced my mom to build a screen around our patio
outside so I can go out without her having to worry about me getting
lost. I spend lots of time out there, just hanging out. I like to
watch the birds come up and yell at me, even though they can see
I'm in a screened in patio and can't get out. They accuse me of
doing some pretty nasty things, but I don't care.
My favorite foods are tuna, bbq brisket, pizza, hamburgers and
parmesan cheese. Sometimes, I pretend I don't want to eat my food
just so my mom will sprinkle it with parmesan cheese. She's
gullible. I also like taking trips in the car. I walk on a leash
and mom takes me out to the park and lots of other places.
Everywhere I go, people always stop and ask if I'm a cat.
Like they can't tell. I have my own website called
Oma's Place.

Our second kitty star is Cat Cat, and her person says:
This is Cat Cat. She used to be a stray around our neighborhood,
but I finally got her to trust me one day, by giving her chicken
salad. Ever since then we've been best friends. It took me awhile
to get her to be inside, but while she was still outdoors, we found
that she had a litter of 4 kittens under our house. You can just
imagine how surprised we were. We gave 3 of them away to loving
homes, but kept one. All together, we have 4 kitties inside and 1
outside.
