Kitty Star of the Week for March 23 - 29, 2003.
Meet Mitsy Lou; her person-mom writes,
"Mitsy Lou is an easygoing dilute Tortoiseshell who we rescued from
the Humane Society on my birthday 5 1/2 years ago. She was about 12
weeks old and wasn't as cute as some of the younger kittens, but she
stuck her paw out of the cage as if to say, "Pick me, pick me!"
She lives in Oregon and enjoys a pampered cat life. Even though
she isn't a kitten anymore, she is very playful and loves attention
from anyone who will give it to her. One of her favorite games is to
fish rubber bands out of our office drawer and chew on them
[Editor: which is OK as long as she doesn't swallow them].
She will often drop them on the floor to see how many times I will
pick them up for her. Unlike most cats, Mitsy Lou likes her belly rubbed
and frequently sleeps on her back, spread-eagle -- no shame or
modesty there! We call her "Chubber" because she sort of waddles
when she walks."
