Kitty Star of the Week for April 2 - 8, 2000.
Cricket is the office cat of the Centre Park Veterinary Clinic in Columbia
MD (410-995-9077).
She's been a member of the staff since September of 1997, when one of
the employees found her as a 5 week old kitten along the roadside. At
first the employees wanted to find a home for her, but quickly became too
attached to her and have kept her ever since.
She's named Cricket because she loves to hunt and attack crickets. She
also loves to sit in the window in the sun and watch birds. When that gets
dull, she'll move over to the counter and get cat hair in the computer
equipment.
Cricket has an unusual fondness for citrus. She loves mandarin oranges,
and yogurt with pineapple. She also expressed an interest in radishes
recently. Chicken and turkey, however, don't appeal to her at all.
Cricket likes attention. She likes dogs, too, as well as small rodents and
fish. She doesn't like cats too much -- perhaps she doesn't want to share
her domain!
