Kitty Star of the Week for April 23 - 29, 2006
Our kitty of the week is Shadow and his person-mom writes,
"This special cat is Shadow, the Russian Blue mix cat. He is a loving cat at the age of
1 year currently. Shadow was abandoned by his mother at about 5 days old, so his owner and
her family found him, and his two kitten siblings. They took them all home, bottle-fed
them, etc., until they were old enough to be given away. Shadow, when he was a kitten,
was the most unhealthy of the litter, but with a little love and care, he is strong today.
His owner decided to keep him, even though it was a hard choice between all of the
kittens.
"Shadow knows a few words:
Num-nums means: kitty canned food. When Shadow hears the word "Num-nums" he runs
straight into the kitchen. He loves eating, what a pig.
Birdie/Squirrel : A small bird or squirrel, occasionally a raccoon.
When Shadow sees or hears this, he scratches at the door. Even though he isn't allowed
outside, he manages to get his way.
"Shadow's favorite food: Num-nums
Shadow's favorite activity: Sleep! ing, eating, and watching the dog try to reach him in a
high place.
Shadow's location: Louisiana (USA)
Shadow's favorite toy: A small stuffed baby sock with catnip in it."
