Kitty Star of the Week for July 9 - 15, 2000.
Meet Skittles, a 3 year old Siamese (or Siamese cross), adopted
from the New Hampshire SPCA, She lives with her person-mom and
person-dad in New Hampshire, and she has her own camera web site:
Skittles Cam.
This photo is a snapshot of her dozing, waiting for the next session
of bird watching.
Skittles has several toys she enjoys. One is a sissel ball with
feathers on it and bells inside that jingle when she plays with it.
Another is the laser light -- what fun chasing the little red dot!
Skittles also likes the "cat teaser". And her cat-a-trail. She
likes to crawl in the trail and attack things that lurk just
outside its entrance.
Life wouldn't be complete without food and drink -- and lots of it!
Skittles has been known to enjoy vanilla pudding, cheese bread, ice
tea and milk. Unfortunately, Skittles likes her goodies too much;
she dislikes the diet her vet put her on.
Speaking of vets, Skittles doesn't like going, especially with her
person-mom, who doesn't buy her any new toys when they go to the vets.
At least her daddy does (after all a girl needs some diversion
after all that trauma!). She's happy that at least both humans
know enough to give her treats when she has to go to the vets.
Skittles likes to watch birds out the window, sleep on mommy's
monitor, take a walk outside, and have a little catnip. She also is
a clever kitty who knows how to use the kitty-paw-pat trick to coax
goodies and attention out of her humans.
