Kitty Star of the Week for November 5 - 11, 2000.
In honor of the U.S. presidential election on Tuesday, November 7,
we're featuring a "presidential cat" -- Socks.
This photo was taken about 5 years ago. The person who took the picture
remembered this about Socks:
Socks was very affectionate and friendly and loved to be petted.
He's both an indoor and outdoor cat. But they had to start
putting him on a leash when he was outside, because reporters would lure
him outside the White House gates with kitty treats.
