Kitty Star of the Week for May 6 - 12, 2001.

Miss Maxine is 4 years old. She was adopted from Feline Friends rescue around Christmas '99 along with another kitten (wonderful Christmas presents for their Mommy!) She originally belonged to a woman who had many cats but had to move from the house she was renting and could not take all her kitties with her.

Maxie braved Hurricane Floyd outdoors before she was given up for adoption, so she's a tough cookie. In addition to being the eldest of the four kitty 'siblings', she owns a very large dog that she bathes and mothers even though he's 10 times her size!
