Kitty Star of the Week for October 7 - 13, 2001.
This is Mokey, her mom's "sweet princessa". She is the oldest cat
of the five who share her house and, according to her mom, that
makes Mokey the wisest.
Mokey was born in a hole in a neighbor's yard and was the runt of
the litter. For a long time, she was an indoor cat. But she loves to go
outside now more than anything.
Sometimes Mokey brings home live mice.
One time, Mokey sat in the hall near her human's computer for a
long while. When her person looked up, she saw Mokey was sitting there
with a poor little confused mouse about a foot away, too afraid to
move. Mokey's mom likes mice and always catches
them to let them out. Her human caught this mouse and released it
outside, but she wonders if Mokey thinks that she took it away and
ate it.
Mokey's mom says, "Mokey is my favorite, and really knows it."
